What Were the Achievements of the Saemaul Movement?

The results of the Saemaul Movement exceeded the government’s expectations by far. The goals that were targeted for achievement by 1980 were nearly all achieved by 1977. The results of the Saemaul Movement were almost as remarkable as the results of the rapid growth of the Korean economy.
