This chapter includes an interview with ecotourism and local entrepreneurs to highlight the human dimension of ecosystem protection. Most young people go to the city to search for employment or to study because they are not given an opportunity to legally produce timber or manage fisheries in the forest. Education beyond elementary levels is limited in the small forest communities. Responsible community-based tourism allows for preservation of the land, as well as legal professions and opportunities for community improvement.
