Integrating SDG 15 Into Local, National, and Development Strategies

While almost every country in the world has a ministry of environment, these are not particularly powerful, so sustainable development must be an integrated effort across the entire government. Sustainable development involves setting up Payment for Ecosystem Services laws, engaging the private sector, and managing the environment as a system. It’s important to think about how you can take things from individual pieces to something that is more systematic in approach because, as population increases and environmental impact increases, the only way to achieve sustainability is through integrated approaches to the use of the land and resources of all nations.
