The IsDB has adopted a new development model towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. This model shifted the approach from treating the symptoms of poverty to tackling the root causes of poverty. The model is based on four pillars: - Science, Technology and Innovation. The IsDB is striving to benefit from the opportunities offered by the new generation of industrialization fueled by opportunities and advances. - Islamic Finance. The IsDB considers the Islamic finance industry as the most important tool to stimulate industries and foster the inclusion of sectors deprived from finance. - Value Chains. The integration of value chains with the global market unleashes the potential for the development of the member countries. - Partnerships. The IsDB is trying to crowd-in significant financial and human resources from the global capital markets through public, private and philanthropic partnerships.
