Dr. Antje von Suchodoletz is an associate professor at New York University-Abu Dhabi, exploring the role of culture and context in children's learning and development. Her current work focuses on how family dynamics shape child development, specifically understanding the reciprocity of parent-child interactions. She is also interested in the physiological and biological foundations of self-regulation and how the family context and parent-child relationships relate to these processes. Antje has also investigated how schools develop their readiness to implement effective teaching strategies to improve young children's learning-related skills (including self-regulation and social competence). Antje has previously taught at the Universities of Munich, Freiburg and Lüneburg. Additionally, she worked as a school psychologist for several years in Switzerland.
