This chapter discusses the idea of specialized global funds that have pooled funds from government donors and philanthropic donors, focusing on the example of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria and the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations. Professor Sachs talks about the importance of country coordination mechanisms and record-keeping to prevent corruption. He ends with a call for such global funds for the SDGs.
