Renewables: Solar

This chapter profiles the science and potential impact of solar power. Its history is briefly profiled; notably, that it's not a new technology and has gone through multiple generations of development. Various uses of solar power are profiled, as are its limitations for example, in commercial production versus its potential. Newer technologies are increasing solar power's potential, as is a robust market particularly in Germany, cited as the biggest driver of the last ten to fifteen years. The video also details economics of scale, or the concept of improving technology and materials and equipment getting cheaper.
