Structures of Power and Decision-making

This chapter discusses the multiple stakeholders who are required in the various economic, political, and social processes that are necessary to achieve the SDGs. that can be utilized to achieve the SDGs. Professor Sachs breaks down the power structures of governments, businesses, civil societies, and international organizations as actors in the movement towards sustainable development. He also discusses the principle of subsidiarity and the need for an informed and responsible citizenry.
