The Role of Law in Combatting Inequality

How can the law be called upon to combat inequality? Law can guarantee that in the public space certain values are upheld. Using law, if people can get society to engage with arguments, then people can get society to realize that there is a legal obligation, a moral obligation, and a pragmatic reason for combatting inequality. Social justice elements of law can gain power and will afford more respect to the rights of all. The three elements of law are the law as a statement, the law in action, and the law in the judiciary and wider society.
