On 19 January 2021, Global Water Partnership and Wuhan International Water Law Academy (IWLA) organized the first event of the "transboundary freshwater security governance train" session series. The online event was focused on "Transboundary Water Agreements". Over 80 people worldwide participated, and over 120 questions were submitted ahead of the event – even more during the live session, showing a strong interest in the topic.
The session consisted of presentations by experts from Africa, Europe, and Central Asia, followed by Q&As based on some of the pre-submitted questions. After this, 15-minute breakout groups gave participants an opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences.
We encourage you to continue the discussion started during the event on the MOOC forum. A special section of the discussion board has been set up to serve as a hub for questions and remarks related to all MOOC events. the MOOC team and our panelists will monitor the forum closely and will try to keep the conversation going.
