From an Islamic perspective, human beings are not the real owners of wealth or resources, but their role is that of a trustee, appointed by the creator. Therefore, humans are obliged to use resources with care by respecting their growth and development. This concept accords with the promotion of sustainability and the protection of economic, social and environmental spheres, thus aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals.
