This video considers those people disproportionately affected by a lack of equity and inclusion in education. Although anyone can be impacted, certain groups are particularly vulnerable to exclusion or negatively impacting their education. We discussed the following groups: Individuals living in remote or rural areas who may face geographic barriers to accessing education Ethnic and religious minorities, as well as indigenous groups, who may face cultural or linguistic barriers to education Refugees, migrants, and internally displaced people, who may have limited access to education due to their circumstances People with disabilities, who may face physical or societal barriers to accessing education Individuals who identify as LGBTQ+, whose sexuality, gender identity, or expression may make them more vulnerable to exclusion or discrimination People from lower social and economic backgrounds and those who are incarcerated may lack resources and opportunities to access education Because education is a fundamental right, governments and institutions must implement policies and programs that identify and support these groups to ensure equal access and opportunities for all. It's time to bridge the gap and create a more equitable and inclusive education system for everyone.
